Welcome!

Hello! My name is Vincent Giacalone, I am 24 years old and I am a recent Stony Brook University alum with a degree in French Language and Literature and a minor in journalism. I absolutely love to write about sports and share my passion for sports journalism. I’ve been watching sports my whole life, but my favorite sports include baseball, hockey, basketball and especially soccer. Even though I only started following it back in 2015, it has quickly become one of my favorite sports and a newfound passion. I follow many teams, including New York City FC, Borussia Dortmund, S.S. Lazio, Atlético Madrid and Olympique de Marseille.

I had the pleasure of working for the sports section of my university’s newspaper, The Statesman, for about a year, during which I covered many games, wrote some other kinds of articles and interviewed players and coaches. This time not only taught me how to be a better writer and journalist, but it also fueled my dream of being a sports journalist. I’m excited to continue working in this field and cover the sports that I love.
